Go Live Toronto
Go Live Toronto is a citywide marketing campaign designed to increase public awareness of theatre, dance and opera, and to be used as a tool by TAPA member organizations to engage a wider audience, and to energize the youth demographic. There are 5 components to Go Live Toronto, and 5 easy ways to participate:
goliveto.ca
The central information portal for Go Live Toronto, goliveto.ca includes a searchable database, comprehensive show listings, an Opening Night Directory, and audience reviews. Here, you can also find an RRS feed, allowing you to promote the arts and find out
“what’s on” directly via your email account. TAPA members are responsible for posting their own show details; so don’t forget to take advantage of this free feature! In addition, when you post your show to goliveto.ca, it will be included in the Theatre Guide listings.
Theatre Guide
The Theatre Guide features comprehensive theatre, dance and opera listings, Toronto theatre map, “What’s Hot” selection of three shows, and affordable TAPA membership advertising opportunities. Fifteen thousand copies of this bimonthly marketing piece are printed and distributed widely to over 200 theatres, hotels and cultural attractions, as well as with every ticket purchase at the T.O.TIX Booth. Theatre Guide listings are based on your goliveto.ca listings, so don’t forget to list your shows!
5 STAR EXPERIENCE
Reach new audiences through 5 Star Experiences, Toronto’s top value theatre & dining packages that partner theatre, dance and opera companies with local restaurants / attractions. Sold online and in person through T.O.TIX and at select hotel websites, each 5 Star Experience is targeted to a specific demographic. Participating TAPA member organizations recoup 100% of ticket revenue.
hipTIX
Targeted at high school and university students, hipTIX is designed to make theatre accessible to young people by offering $5.00 discount tickets to students. Many theatres paper their houses with complimentary tickets to preview performances – why not allot these tickets to hipTIX instead, and recoup $2.50 of each ticket redeemed? hipTIX is a terrific audience development tool that allows TAPA members to build new relationships and grow younger audiences.
citySPECIAL
Toronto’s performing arts should be accessible to everyone – this is the premise on which the citySPECIAL was created. In partnership with the City of Toronto and TD Bank Financial Group, this program is targeted specifically to at-risk youth and at-risk communities and enables them to attend the performing arts at no cost. Participating TAPA member organizations are reimbursed $2.25 per ticket redeemed. citySPECIAL is a great way to fill previews or matinees while developing a new audience.
